The brown Capuchin is a sociable monkey, living in groups of up to 15 individuals. Diurnal and arboreal, it feeds on fruits, leaves, insects, frogs and small mammals. Its long prehensile tail allows it to hang tight and eat upside down
The species is polygamous only the dominant male covets the females, but the other males of the group sometimes take advantage of its inattention to mate.
