The flying fox is a very big bat. He lives in a large colony, inside which a male surrounds himself with around ten females. The flying fox is arboreal and nocturnal: its adapted vision and its developed sense of smell allow it to find the flowers and fruits on which it feeds.
Transporting pollen from flower to flower and dispersing the seeds of fruits, it plays a very important role for the regeneration of forests.
